"Muallaff" is a term used in Islamic countries to describe someone who converts to Islam from another religion. The word "muallaff" comes from the Arabic word "alif-lam-fa" which means "to embrace" or "to join". In many Islamic countries, there are organizations and individuals who work to support new converts to Islam, including muallaffs. These organizations may provide education and support to help the new convert learn about Islam and adjust to their new religious community. They may also offer assistance with practical matters such as legal documentation and social integration. Muallaffs play an important role in the Islamic community, as they bring diversity and new perspectives to the faith. They may also face unique challenges, such as social and familial pressures from their previous religious communities. Islam encourages acceptance and tolerance towards all people, regardless of their background or ethnicity. The Qur'an states that "O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you" (Qur'an 49:13). This verse emphasizes the importance of understanding and accepting

In Myanmar, 89.8 percent registered as Buddhist, 6.3 percent as Christian, 2.3 percent as Muslim, 0.5 percent as Hindu, 0.8 percent as Animist, 0.2 percent as "other" and 0.1 percent as having no religion, according to the report. Of the country’s 51 million population, 1.15 millions registered as "Muslim". Unofficially the Muslim could be about 2.35 millions, which is about 4.6% of population.
